7th State-Level Monitoring Committee reviews PMSVANidhi implementation in Tripura

Agartala, 26th March 2026:   The 7th State-Level Monitoring Committee (SLMC) meeting on the implementation of PM SVANidhi was held in Tripura under the chairmanship of Dr. Milind Ramteke, Secretary of the Urban Development Department, to review the progress of the scheme across the state.

The meeting was initiated by Member Convenor of the SLMC, Tarit Kanti Chakma, who is also serving as Mission Director of PMSVANidhi under Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission.

Conducted in both offline and online modes, the meeting witnessed participation from the District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura along with representatives from State Level Bankers’ Committee, the Rural Development Department, Finance Department, Reserve Bank of India, Small Industries Development Bank of India, municipal authorities, banks, the State Mission Manager of PMSVANidhi, and Team TULM.

District Magistrates and Collectors of the remaining seven districts, Chief Executive Officers and Executive Officers of urban local bodies, Community Mobilisation Managers, Community Organisers, Block Development Officers, and Lead District Managers joined the meeting virtually.

During the review, the SLMC chairman provided guidance on strengthening implementation of the PMSVANidhi scheme and suggested proactive measures and best practices to improve outreach and effectiveness across Tripura. The discussions focused on accelerating delivery, improving coordination among stakeholders, and ensuring wider benefits for street vendors under the scheme.
