Agartala, 13th July 2025: At least eight people sustained injuries in a horrific head-on collision involving three cars and a motorcycle today evening near Sekerkot Darogabari along the Agartala-Bishalgarh road. According to local sources, the accident occurred amid heavy rainfall when a speeding Maruti Eeco (registration TR06C0251) lost control and first rammed into a Maruti Suzuki (TR01AH0543).
The impact caused the Suzuki to crash into a Maruti WagonR (TR01BF0682). In the sequence of events, the Eeco overturned and struck a motorcycle (TR07C5548) before coming to a halt. Residents of the area, upon hearing a loud crash, rushed to the spot and immediately alerted the Bishalgarh and Badharghat fire departments. Emergency personnel from both units reached the location promptly and, along with local volunteers, rescued the injured from the mangled vehicles. All eight injured persons were rushed to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital and Tripura Medical College for treatment. Their identities are yet to be disclosed. The Agartala-Bishalgarh road was temporarily closed due to the accident, causing traffic congestion and leaving many vehicles stranded.
