Agartala: May 24. One 24-year old man arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl. The incident occurred in Teliamura police station area. Locals detained the accused Bijay Das and handed him over to the police. Bijay Das is 24 years old.
The family the victim alleged that an 8-year-old girl was raped by the 24-year-old Bijay from the same area last Thursday in Teliamura police station area. He threatened the girl not to open her mouth about the matter. It is also alleged that he threatened to kill the minor girl if she opened her mouth.
Due to this fear, the victim did not tell anyone, but the matter came to the notice of the family members by Tuesday afternoon. When the minor girl was asked her parents that she is suffering pain and other issues. Later, the victim girl informed the matter to her parents. Immediately the parents have informed Teliamura police station. Then the locals united and detained the 24-year-old accused Bijay Das and beaten him black and blue. The police rushed to the spot and took the accused into their custody. The family filed a written complaint with Teliamura police station.
