A step towards smart governance: CM launches ‘Smart Training Center’

Agartala: May 08. In a step towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Monday said that his government has decided that all the official works will go paperless and have already started working in this direction.

Chief Minister Dr. Saha today launched the ‘Smart Training Center’ and inaugurated the ‘Training on Digital Tripura Initiative’ at IT Bhavan in Agartala.

While addressing the event, Chief Minister Dr Saha said, “I am very glad and thankful to the IT Department who have invited me to come over here. Our government is going to be smart enough. We have a smart city and now a smart training center has been inaugurated by us”.

He further said that under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Tripura government has decided to go paperless.

“I am very glad that all the work will be paperless in the government of Tripura and in this direction, we are going ahead. By the grace and direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also wanted to do so accordingly, we are making it paperless”, said Chief Minister.

The CM said that the main motto is to transform the state government into a paperless is to enhance transparency; to track files and their status will be known to all at a time.

“It will increase accountability, quality, and speed of decision making is easier to monitor. It will also assure data security and provide a platform for reinventing the government. We are working for E-Office and Digitization and end of this year all the government departments would have come under this training program and it should be implemented in districts, sub-division and the inauguration would be successful”, the CM added.

During the event, Minister of Finance, Planning & Coordination and IT Pranajit Singha Roy, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Principal Secretary IT Puneet Agarwal and Director of IT Department Dr Naresh Babu were present.
