Agartala, 19th September 2025:    With the festive spirit of Sharadiya Durga Puja beginning to sweep across Kailashahar, local authorities have taken proactive steps to ensure the celebrations proceed smoothly and safely. On Friday at 11 a.m., the Kailashahar Police Station hosted a special administrative meeting aimed at coordinating efforts with various puja committees, clubs, and social organizations from the town and surrounding areas.

The meeting was chaired by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mr. Rughul A (IPS), alongside Officer-in-Charge Tapas Malakar and other senior officials. Discussions focused on maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, regulating traffic, and implementing heightened surveillance during the festive days.

Speaking at the meeting, OC Tapas Malakar emphasized the inclusive nature of Durga Puja, stating, “Durga Puja is not just a major festival for the Hindu community—it has become a celebration for all. People from every background participate, and it is our collective responsibility to maintain peace and discipline during the festivities.”

He urged puja committees and clubs to actively cooperate with the police and reminded the public to strictly follow traffic rules, especially while driving during the puja days.

SDPO Rughul A also called upon all stakeholders to work together to ensure a safe and joyous celebration. Last year, Kailashahar subdivision hosted 83 Durga Pujas, and a similar number is expected this year. In light of this, the administration is implementing additional safety measures and surveillance protocols.

Organizers have welcomed the initiative, viewing it as a significant step toward preserving the spirit and serenity of the festival. With the administration’s vigilance and public cooperation, Kailashahar is poised to celebrate Durga Puja peacefully once again.
