Agartala, 19th March 2025: The Advancing North East Career Conclave 2025 was successfully held on Tuesday at Bir Bikram Memorial College. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Commerce and Department of Economics, in collaboration with the North East Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi). The conclave aimed to provide career guidance, skill development, and entrepreneurial insights to students and aspiring professionals.
The event commenced with a welcome speech delivered by Dr. Sujit Das, Head of the Department of Commerce. This was followed by a speech from Chandni Shivam, Junior Consultant from NEDFi, who provided valuable insights into career opportunities and financial support available for aspiring entrepreneurs. The Presidential Speech was given by Mrinal Dasgupta, Principal of BBM College, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in shaping students’ futures. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Manidip Roy, Head of the Department of Economics.
The Technical Session featured experts from various fields who delivered insightful speeches, providing guidance on career paths, industry trends, and skill enhancement strategies. Their valuable inputs enriched the knowledge and perspectives of the participants.
One of the highlights of the conclave was the B-Plan Competition, where participants showcased their business ideas. The jury for the competition comprised Dr. Basudeb Bhattacharya and Sri Amit Ghosh, who evaluated the innovative business plans presented by students. The winners of the competition were: 1st Prize (Rs. 15,000) – AnneshaBanik, student of B.Com 3rd Semester, BirBikram Memorial College. 2nd Prize (Rs. 10,000) – SusmitaDebnath, student of BA 5th Semester (Political Science Honours) Women’s College. 3rd Prize (Rs. 5,000) – Saiful Islam Hridoy, student of B.Com 5th Semester, BirBikram Memorial College.
The conclave was a grand success, providing students with a platform to explore career opportunities, gain expert insights, and showcase their entrepreneurial ideas. The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and collaborating organizations for making the event meaningful and impactful.
