Agartala, 10th December 2025: Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport has taken proactive measures to manage passenger inconvenience caused by disruptions in Indigo flight operations between November 29 and December 9, 2025. During this period, a total of 39 Indigo flights were cancelled, affecting hundreds of travellers.
Speaking to media personnel at MBB Airport here this afternoon, Airport Director KM Nehra said the airport teams worked round-the-clock to assist passengers. “Our staff has been continuously monitoring the situation and extending all possible support to affected travellers,” Nehra stated.
Additional seating was arranged both inside and outside the terminal building, while enhanced sanitation ensured proper cleaning of toilets and public spaces. Drinking water, snacks, and beverages were provided to passengers, and food and beverage outlets were instructed to remain open until the last flight, maintain essential supplies, and keep prices unchanged.
According to information received from Indigo Airlines, baggage delivery for all impacted flights has been completed, and refunds for cancelled flights were processed up to December 9, 2025. Indigo’s On Time Performance (OTP), which had been affected during the disruption, has been restored to 100 percent since December 7 at MBB Airport.
On December 10, Indigo operated an additional flight to Delhi to accommodate stranded passengers. Other airlines, including Air India Express (3 flights) and Akasa Air (1 flight), continue to operate normally. Presently, Indigo maintains 10 daily arrivals and departures from Agartala.
Airport Director Nehra emphasized the airport’s readiness: “We are capable of running 24×7 flight services of both domestic and international flights.”
