Agartala bound bus from Assam falls into pond, 11 injured

Agartala: May 15. As many as 11 passengers sustained minor injuries after a passenger bus lost control and fell into pond from the national highway.

Sources said that the bus was en route to Agartala from Guwahati, met with the accident near Karamchara Bazaar under Langtorai Valley of Dhalai district.

Soon after the incident the firefighters rushed to the spot and rescued the injured persons and sent them to the hospital.

Local residents said that the passenger bus coming from Guwahati to Agartala at around 5 am on Monday lost control while taking a turn and fell into a pond from the Assam-Agartala National Highway No. 8.

11 passengers in that bus were seriously injured. Local people rushed to the spot after hearing the loud noise. They informed the fire service and emergency personnel and Manu police station.

The police rushed to the hospital after receiving the information. But currently, 9 passengers are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
