Agartala, 10th December 2024: The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) marked its third anniversary on Tuesday with a special meeting held at the AMC Conference Hall to commemorate its achievements and plan for the future. The event was attended by Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, Commissioner Dr. Sailesh Kumar Yadav, corporators and officers of the corporation.
The BJP-led AMC commenced its journey on December 8, 2021 has successfully completed three years of service to the city. Mayor Majumdar, addressing the gathering emphasized the significance of this milestone and the corporation’s commitment to continuous improvement.
“The third anniversary of the Agartala Municipal Corporation is a momentous occasion for us. We have come a long way since 2021, and today’s meeting is not just a celebration but also an opportunity to reflect on our progress and plan for the future,” said Mayor Majumdar.
The meeting also included discussions on the Sharad Samman 2024. “In addition to celebrating our third anniversary, we will be finalizing the date for the Sharad Samman awards. These awards recognize outstanding contributions to the community,” the Mayor announced.
Commissioner Dr. Sailesh Kumar Yadav outlined the agenda for the meeting, highlighting the importance of addressing various civic issues. “We will discuss the overall development of the city, focusing on infrastructure improvements and remedial measures to combat mosquito infestation,” he stated.
The event highlighted the AMC’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for Agartala’s residents and its ongoing efforts to tackle urban challenges effectively. As the AMC looks ahead to another year of service, the leadership remains committed to fostering growth and development across the city.
