Agartala, 6th June 2024 : The executive committee members of the Agartala Press Club today visited the proposed Tripura Shantiniketan Medical College campus.
During their visit to the Madhuban area in the peripheries of Agartala city, the committee witnessed the significant progress and the international quality infrastructure being established for the medical college. They expressed their admiration for the project’s scale and quality, voicing optimism about the positive socio-economic impact it will bring to the region.
The committee members noted that the establishment of the medical college is likely to spur further developmental projects, thereby improving the area’s socio-economic conditions. They also expressed hope that these advancements would contribute significantly to human resource development and potentially reverse the migration trend by encouraging locals who have left for work or study to return.
In his address, President of the College Malay Peet emphasized the broader vision of social and human resource development. He highlighted future plans to build various institutions, including a Knowledge City and a Digital University, which are expected to further bolster the region’s growth and educational landscape.
The committee underscored their commitment to supporting social development activities and raising public awareness, aligning with the broader development goals associated with the new medical college.
