Agartala, 31st July 2025:    Controversy erupted at Bishalgarh Railway Station following serious misconduct allegations against GRP Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Subodh Debbarma, who was reportedly intoxicated while on duty.

According to eyewitness accounts and local sources, the OC arrived at the station in an inebriated state and allegedly attempted to assault media personnel by hurling stones after a complaint surfaced against him involving the harassment of a female constable.

The incident triggered public outrage at the railway premises, with commuters and residents demanding strict disciplinary action. “This is not an isolated case. He has a history of misbehavior with female officers, and it’s time the authorities took firm action,” said one local observer.

The female constable reportedly brought her grievance to the media, sparking broader concerns over workplace safety and accountability within the police force. Citizens have voiced fears about public safety, questioning who would be held accountable if further disturbances or accidents occur under such leadership.

As tension simmers, calls for an official inquiry and immediate suspension of OC Debbarma have intensified.
