Agartala, 9th September 2026 : Allegations have also been raised against Arunava Nath, Assistant Engineer of the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA), with questions being raised about the alleged sources of his assets and financial growth.
According to the allegations, Arunava Nath, who reportedly came from Sabroom subdivision of Tripura, secured a position as an Assistant Engineer with the Tripura Cricket Association.The allegations further claim that he purchased land near Ushabazar and subsequently constructed a two-storey house described by the complainant as resembling a “palace”.
It has also been alleged that an employee earning approximately Rs 50,000 per month purchased a flat in Ramnagar, Agartala, for around Rs 70 lakh.The allegations claim that a bank loan of approximately Rs 30 lakh was taken for the purchase and subsequently repaid within a relatively short period.
Based on these claims, questions are being raised about the source of funds used to acquire the property in Ushabazar and the Ramnagar flat.The complainant further alleges that the Assistant Engineer is responsible for procurement-related work connected with various projects, including the International Stadium.His name has also allegedly surfaced in connection with the floodlight controversy, and it is claimed that he subsequently became an approver in an SIT case.The allegations further claim that another flat belonging to the Assistant Engineer has been identified in an affluent area of the city.
Employees of the organisation as well as members of the public, according to the complainant, are questioning the source of such financial assets.The complainant has alleged that the money may have originated from funds received by the association from the BCCI. However, this is an allegation and requires verification through financial records, property documents and other relevant evidence.The report also alleges that several other irregularities involving officers and employees of the organisation are in possession of the complainant and may be disclosed in the future.All allegations concerning Arunava Nath and the Tripura Cricket Association require independent verification, and the concerned individuals and organisation should be given an opportunity to respond before any allegation is treated as established fact.
