Agartala, 3rd December 2025: A wave of grief has swept through the Malaynagar Upri Alunga area under Srinagar police station following the tragic death of a Class VIII student, Pranab Kumar Jha.
Family sources informed that the 14-year-old boy allegedly took his own life after a brief scolding from his mother over a minor issue. Yesterday evening, Pranab was found hanging in his room. Family members found the body when they went to call him later that night. He was rushed to the local health centre, where doctors declared him dead.
The incident has left the family and neighbours in deep mourning, with a sombre atmosphere prevailing in the community. Police have launched an investigation into the case and confirmed that necessary legal procedures are being followed.
