Agartala, 13th April 2024: In a strategic move ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are slated to embark on crucial visits to Tripura on April 15 and 17, respectively. The visits aim to galvanize support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allied parties, Tipra Motha and IPFT, as they gear up for the electoral battle.
A closed-door meeting convened at the Manikya Enclave on Saturday witnessed high-level discussions on orchestrating two pivotal public rallies. Minister Tinku Roy divulged key details of the planned rallies, underscoring their significance in shaping the electoral landscape of Tripura.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to grace Kumarghat with his presence on April 15, accompanied by BJP’s nominee for the East Tripura constituency, Kriti Singh Debbarma, and other party stalwarts. The rally aims to energize the populace of Dhalai district, rallying their support for the forthcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival on April 17 is poised to inject further momentum into the electoral campaign, amplifying the BJP’s outreach efforts across the state.
Minister Tinku Roy expressed confidence that the rallies spearheaded by Shah and Modi would herald a historic victory for the BJP’s nominated candidates. Anticipating an overwhelming turnout, Roy projected a gathering of 35,000 to 40,000 attendees at the Union Home Minister’s rally in Kumarghat.
Amidst burgeoning optimism, Roy underscored the positive response garnered from the ongoing campaigning endeavors, fostering a sense of assurance regarding the prospects of nominees Biplab Kumar Deb and Kriti Singh Debbarma clinching victory in the upcoming elections.
The strategic meeting also saw the presence of notable figures including Tipra Matha Supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma, Minister Bikash Debbarma, Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, and Tipra Motha President Bijoy Hrangkhwal, further solidifying the coalition’s resolve in navigating the electoral scenario of Tripura.
