Amtali police recovers stolen motorcycles, mastermind of thefts absconding

Agartala, November 05. Amtali police station staff achieved success in recovering stolen motorcycles but the mastermind behind motorcycle thefts escaped narrowly. However, two to four motorcycles were seized from his house. The incident has created a panic at Motinagar area under Amtali police station.

Reportedly, a 22-year-old youth Hridiya Mia, resident of bordering Motinagar area. It is learnt that a Hero Glamour motorcycle bearing registration number TR08A-9503 was stolen from the front of a big shopping mall here in capital city. Later, the owner of the motorcycle lodged a written complaint with the Agartala West Police Station. Later, the police conveyed the news to different police stations.

On the other hand, another motorcycle Bajaj Platina bearing registration number TR01D-5975 has been stolen from where the police have not received any information so far.Meanwhile, Shah Alam Miah of Fhultali area was arrested by Amtali police station along with a motorcycle from his house a few days back. Later, on the basis of Shah Alam’s confession, Amtali police officer Ashish Dasgupta came to know that a youth named Hridaya Miah from Motinagar area was the mastermind behind the bike theft.

Later on Friday at around 11 AM, Amtali police station’s officer Ashish Dasgupta along with police personnel from West Agartala police station and AD Nagar police station jointly raided the house of Hridaya Miah at Motinagar and recovered two stolen bikes. However, Hridiya Mia escapes for a while though. Meanwhile, the Amtali police official said that Hridaya Mia is the main mastermind, and he will be arrested soon.
