Agartala, November 17, 2022: Keeping in view the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build “Self-reliant India”, a special discussion meeting was organized to make Self-help group women self-reliant.
A discussion meeting was organized at the training center of Rajnagar TRLM under Matarbari block with the aim of empowering women. Union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik, Matarbari Panchayat Samiti Chairman Sujan Kumar Sen and others were present.
In this event, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik mainly discussed about the empowerment of women in the state. Women of various self-help groups from nine rural associations of five panchayats of Matarbari block participated in this event. On this day, Union State Minister Pratima Bhowmik said, “We are all on the bottom of all, each of us is on the bottom of the next.”The Union Minister of State also said, “Today’s Anganwadi students will study in colleges and universities in the future, so every Anganwadi Center should be looked at seriously.”
Moreover, Pratima Bhoumik appeals to all self-help group women to support Anganwadi Centers in their respective areas by giving them some financial contribution from the monthly income of the self-help groups. In this petition, 34 Anganwadi centers in Rajnagar, Udaipur along with 309 self-help groups took responsibility. Pratima Bhoumik said that by moving the society forward in this way in the coming days, we will have the “Shrestha Tripura” of our dreams.
