Agartala, June 16, 2023: In a disturbing incident, an Anganwadi worker was subjected to a brutal assault in the Paschim Lakshmibil area under Bishalgarh police station. Zainaba Bibi, the anganwadi worker, was allegedly attacked by Sahena Begum, Ruby Das, and several others on Friday around noon. The assault was a result of a previous enmity between the parties involved.
Following the attack, concerned individuals from the victim’s household rushed to the scene and rescued the injured woman. Zainaba Bibi was then immediately taken to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for medical attention.
The incident highlights the gravity of personal conflicts escalating to physical violence, causing harm to individuals who serve their community in important roles. Authorities are urged to investigate the matter thoroughly and take appropriate action against those responsible for the assault on the Anganwadi worker.
