Agartala, 11th June 2024: The incumbent Forest Minister and Tipra Motha leader, Animesh Debbarma, has strongly expressed his disappointment over the department allocated to him by the state government. He stated that he would raise this matter with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Speaking with reporters, Animesh said that people with less experience in politics are getting good departments, while those with more than 20 years of experience are receiving nothing.
“I am not happy with Science, Technology and Environment and Printing & Stationery department. There is nothing to hide. But as I have taken charge of the Forest Department, I have to work and make decisions. A few days back, I met with the Chief Minister and told him that I have been in politics for a long time and asked him to give me a good department so that I can do something beneficial for the people in the villages. There is nothing to hide. The Forest Department is okay, but what about other departments? Many people have received good departments after being in politics for just five years. I am not against the government, but departments should be allocated properly.I would raise this matter with Union Home Minister Amit Shah if the CM fails to address the issue,” he said.
