Agartala, August 25, 2023: A legal battle has erupted between two art societies in Dharmanagar over allegations of fraud and validity of documents. The Contemporary Foundation for Art and Craft has filed a case against the Tripura Art Society at the Dharmanagar police station on Friday, accusing them of false publicity and misleading the parents and artists.

The case was filed in response to a press conference held by the Tripura Art Society on July 25, where they claimed that the Contemporary Foundation for Art and Craft was involved in fraudulent activities and had invalid documents. The Tripura Art Society also alleged that the Contemporary Foundation for Art and Craft was not following the rules of the university and was issuing fake admit cards to the students.

The Contemporary Foundation for Art and Craft has denied these allegations and said that they are a nationally registered organization with proper syllabus and audit. They said that the Tripura Art Society was trying to defame them and divert attention from their own corruption. They also said that they will file cases in Mumbai, Delhi, Nagaland and various sub-divisions of Uttara district to seek legal action against the Tripura Art Society.

The dispute between the two art societies has created confusion and anxiety among the parents and children who are interested in learning art. The Contemporary Foundation for Art and Craft has urged them not to fall prey to the false propaganda of the Tripura Art Society and to verify the facts before enrolling in any art course.
