Agartala, 12th December 2025: Aryavart International University signed a MoU with North Tripura District Hospital to enhance academic collaboration and practical training for students in pharmaceutical and paramedical sciences. The initiative aims to integrate classroom instruction with real-world healthcare experience through clinical exposure and internships.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Director of Health Services Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Majumdar and Prof. (Dr.) H. P. Sarma, Director of Medical Education, Govt. of Tripura. Chairman, Mr. Raman Kumar Roshan and Assistant Registrar, Mr. Gourish Chakraborty represented Aryavart International University during the signing ceremony.
Under this agreement, students enrolled in AIU’s Bachelor of Pharmacy, Diploma in Pharmacy, and Allied Healthcare programs such as Medical Laboratory Technology, Optometry, and Hospital Management will gain hands-on experience in the hospital’s medical and diagnostic units. The partnership will allow students to train under the supervision of experienced doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals, strengthening their clinical and technical competencies.
Mr. Raman Kumar Roshan, Chairman of Aryavart International University, said the MoU marks a milestone in advancing healthcare education in the region. “As North Tripura’s first and only PCI-approved pharmacy institute, AIU is committed to quality learning and applied skill development. This collaboration ensures our students are industry-ready and capable of serving society effectively,” he stated.
Director of Health Services Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Majumdar welcomed the agreement, noting that the hospital will benefit from the university’s academic expertise and research support. Both institutions also plan to organize workshops, skill development sessions, and community health programs to promote public service and innovation in healthcare.
The collaboration represents a significant step toward strengthening the healthcare education ecosystem in Tripura, preparing a new generation of skilled professionals to meet the growing demands of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Aryavart International University, Tripura, established by the State Legislature of the Government of Tripura under Act No. 03 of 2023, is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Bar Council of India (BCI), and Directorate of Medical Education (DME). A member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the university offers programs in Law, Pharmacy, Technology, Management, Journalism, and Humanities, promoting excellence across diverse academic disciplines under one roof. The university is located on a 25-acres of lush-green campus at Tilthai, Dharmanagar, North Tripura.
