Mayor Inspects Agartala City Hospital; Modern Facilities Planned

Agartala, 12th February 2026:  Agartala is set to get its first city hospital soon, with construction almost complete, according to Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder.

On Thursday, Mayor Majumder, along with AMC Commissioner Saju Wahid and other officials, visited the hospital site to check on the progress.“Today, we inspected the Agartala City Hospital, which will serve the residents of the city. The construction has come a long way, and we are reviewing the remaining work,” the Mayor said.

He added that the hospital is expected to be ready within a month and will be open to the public soon. “The hospital will have all necessary facilities and will be similar to a modern medical center. This will be the first civil hospital in Agartala city. With the support of the Health Department, we are making sure it is fully equipped so that residents do not have to face difficulties,” he said.
