Agartala Jan 01: On the very first day of New Year, the qualified Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (STGT), 2022 batch once again knocked the door of state education minister Ratan Lal Nath.

Talking to the reporters after meeting the education minister, one of the aspiring candidates said, “Earlier a file was sent to the Finance Dept mentioning recruitment of 1081 graduate teachers in state government schools but the file is still on hold. Today, the EM has asked his official to send another file to the finance department mentioning creation of more 1000 posts and recruitment. Now, if the finance department under Dy CM agrees to this, all the qualified STGT candidates can be recruited hopefully”.

The candidates however added, “The recruitment process might not be completed before the assembly elections 2023 but we want the state government to assure us and publish the list”.

The protesting candidates however expressed satisfaction after meeting the education minister and said that they are still hopeful on recruitment.
