Agartala, 12th April 2025:  In a significant anti-drug operation, the Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) achieved major success yesterday in Teliamura. A vehicle was intercepted during the operation, leading to the seizure of 60,000 Yaba tablets, estimated to have a market value of ₹6 crore. Two individuals were also apprehended during the raid.

A statement issued by the Assam Rifles today revealed that the seizure was made based on a tip-off. Authorities received information about narcotics being smuggled using a vehicle with registration number S01AV1079 in Teliamura.
