Agartala, 1st October 2026 : In a significant initiative aimed at broadening the horizons of tribal students and fostering a spirit of national integration, Assam Rifles organised an Education Tour to Mumbai for 15 tribal students along with two teachers from Assam Rifles Public Schools (ARPS), Agartala and Udaipur, under the “Exploring India” campaign.
The tour is scheduled from 01 to 13 October 2026, providing the students an opportunity to explore the rich cultural and historical diversity of the country.
The initiative seeks to provide experiential learning beyond classrooms and expose the students to the vibrant social and cultural landscape of one of India’s major metropolitan cities.
The Flag-off Ceremony for the Education Tour was organised at ARPS Agartala on 01 October 2026 and was attended by school staff, teachers and representatives of Assam Rifles.
The students were encouraged to make the most of the opportunity, interact with people from diverse background and return with experiences and share it with their communities.
During the tour, the students will get an opportunity to visit places of historical, educational, cultural and scientific significance.
The “Exploring India” campaign reflects Assam Rifles’ commitment towards the educational empowerment of youth, particularly students from tribal communities, and its endeavour to connect the youth of the Northeast with other parts of the country.
