Assam Rifles strengthens bond with veterans through outreach programme

Agartala, 27th May 2026:   Assam Rifles organised an Outreach Programme for Ex-Servicemen of Tripura at Gurkhabasti, Agartala, with an aim to strengthen ties with the veteran fraternity and acknowledge their selfless service towards the nation.

As part of the programme, a Medical Health Check-up Camp was organised for the Ex-Servicemen and their families. The medical team of Assam Rifles provided consultations, basic health screening and healthcare assistance to the attendees. The initiative was appreciated by the veterans and their dependents.

In addition, a Band Display was organised by Assam Rifles which showcased patriotic and motivational tunes, creating an atmosphere of pride, camaraderie and nostalgia amongst the gathering. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by Ex-Servicemen from across Tripura.

The outreach programme reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ commitment towards the welfare and wellbeing of veterans and further strengthened the enduring bond between serving personnel and Ex-Servicemen.
