Assam Rifles student wins inter-school debate competition

Agartala, November 02, 2022: An Inter-School Debate Competition on ‘Private Job is better than Government Job’ was organized by Assam Rifles Public School at the Assam Rifles auditorium on Wednesday. In this competition, 11 different reputed schools from Agartala as well as Amarpur, Udaipur and Teliamura participated in the neck to neck battle of words.

After a well fought debating round, Tamanna Bhattacharjee of the host school was adjudged the winner, followed by Devdatta Biswas of Auxillium Girls as the Runners Up and Sumit Das of Bhavans Tripura Vidyamandir bagged the 3rd Position. The judges were from the Education department, government of Tripura.

Everyone present were mesmerized by the play of words and the points and counter points of all the participants. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Colonel Oinam Akash Singh, Commandant of 18 Assam Rifles and the Guest of Honour Lt. Colonel Vikrant Sharma congratulated all the winners and commended all for participating in the event.

The Principal of Assam Rifles Public School, Animesh Acharya extended his gratefulness towards all the Heads of the Participating Schools for extending their hands towards the success of the event and indicated at several such Inter School events in future also. Such events not only boosts up the inter-personal relationship with all schools but also provides platform for the students for showcase their extracurricular talents and abilities, he added.
