Assam, Tripura CMs discuss issues of mutual interest

New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Tripura counterpart Manik Saha held a meeting here on Sunday and discussed several issues of mutual interests and cooperation.

During his meeting with Saha at the Assam House, Sarma discussed on a wide range of issues of mutual interests and cooperation, including strengthening of ties with the neighbouring state.Assam shares 46.3 km inter-state boundary with Tripura.Both the CMs also discussed ways of strengthening the party, an official statement said.

“The discussion ended with both the CMs reiterating their mutual commitment to further enrich their cordial relations and work towards economic prosperity of the region,” it said.
Later, taking to twitter, the Assam CM wrote, “Assam and Tripura have always shared amicable ties. Had a meaningful conversation on areas of mutual interests, including ways to strengthen our party.”
