Agartala, August 06: The 6th Battalion of Ramchandraghat in Teliamura sub-division mourns the loss of Assistant Commandant Hamsrai Reang, who succumbed to a prolonged battle with a complex illness.
After seeking treatment overseas in pursuit of better medical care, his health deteriorated significantly, and he sadly breathed his last on Sunday morning, despite the earnest efforts of medical professionals.
The news of Hamsrai Reang’s passing has left his family, colleagues, and the community in grief. His dedication to his service and commitment to his duties made him a respected figure among his peers.
The body of the late assistant commandant was brought back to Agartala on Monday. At the airport, a somber gathering paid heartfelt tributes to the departed soul. Among those present to bid their final farewell were IGG S Rao, MLA Pramod Reang, MLA Philip Kumar Reang, and several relatives.
