Agartala, 19th March 2025:  In a move hailed as a significant step forward, the State Government has announced the revision of salaries for ministerial employees working under the Samagra Shiksha Project in Tripura, as per the provisions of the Tripura State Civil Services (Revised Salary) Rules, 2018 (ROP-2018). The new salary structure will come into effect from April 1, 2024.

Expressing their gratitude, the All Tripura Samagra Shiksha Ministerial Staff Organization, approved by the Tripura Government Employees Federation, extended hearty congratulations to Chief Minister Prof Dr. Manik Saha and the State Council of Ministers. “We are immensely thankful to the State Government for recognizing the efforts of employees working in posts such as BRCS/URCS and CRC and Resource Persons under the Samagra Shiksha initiative. This decision ensures financial well-being for many,” remarked Biplab Giri, General Secretary of the organization in a press communique.

The organization also lauded the proactive efforts of the Samagra Shiksha Project Council under the Education Department emphasizing that this decision would significantly uplift the financial conditions of the ministerial staff. However, they urged the state to consider the regularization of Samagra Shiksha employees, drawing attention to precedents set by states like Assam, Manipur, Sikkim, and others.

A press conference was held earlier today, with prominent leaders in attendance, including Shri Samar Roy, Vice Chairman of Tripura Road Transport Corporation and Secretary General of the Tripura Government Employees Federation, along with Sanjib Chakraborty, Subhash Sutradhar and Swarnendu Banik, among others. They reiterated their appreciation for the government’s decision, calling it a “landmark initiative” and a “step in the right direction.”

The state-wide applause reflects the employees’ hope for continued dialogue and welfare initiatives that further enhance their professional stability and growth.
