Agartala, 16th August 2025: In a brazen daylight incident, three youths allegedly attempted to assault a car driver and snatch money in the Lembutuli area of Kamalasagar. The attack took place in full public view sparking alarm among local residents.
Eyewitnesses said, while two of the assailants managed to flee the scene, one youth was booked by locals after a brief chase. The detained individual was reportedly roughed up before being handed over to the Bishalgarh police.
Police have launched a search operation to trace the two absconding suspects. The motive behind the attempted robbery is under investigation, and authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby establishments.
