Agartala, January 22: A horrific accident took place in front of Charilam Manofakir’s dargah under Bishalgarh police station on Sunday afternoon, when an auto and a bike collided head-on. The impact was so severe that four people, including the auto driver and the bike rider, sustained serious injuries. The local people, who witnessed the incident, alerted the fire brigade and helped the injured.
The fire brigade arrived at the scene within minutes and extricated the victims from the wreckage. They were rushed to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for emergency treatment. However, three of them, whose condition was critical, were later referred to GB Hospital for further care. The police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
