Bangladesh PM sends Mango, Hilsa as a gift to Tripura CM

Agartala, 27th June 2024:  In a gesture of mutual goodwill, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha received a gift from Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who sent mangoes, Hilsa fish, and rasgulla.

This followed Dr. Saha’s recent gift of 500 kg of Queen Pineapple to the Bangladesh PM.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reciprocated by sending 400 kg of Haribhanga variety mangoes, 50 kg of Hilsa fish, and 50 kg of rasgulla to the Chief Minister of Tripura through the Agartala-Akhaura Integrated Check Post.

Md Rezaul Haque Chowdhury, First Secretary and Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Agartala, expressed joy over the exchange.

He stated, “This is indeed a happy day as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, has sent the famous Bangladeshi Haribhanga mangoes, Hilsa fish, and rasgulla to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and the people of Tripura. We maintain a cordial relationship with Tripura. In the coming days, both countries, along with Tripura, will further develop and strengthen this relationship.”
