Bear attack leaves man severely injured

Agartala, 25th April 2024:   In a tragic incident, a 29-year-old man, Pushpa Ram Reang, was critically injured after being attacked by a bear while collecting firewood in the jungles at Khedacherra village under Damcherra Block today. It was learned that the victim used to go to the jungles to collect firewood to run his family.

Like every day, Reang went to the jungle, and there he faced this tragic incident. Meanwhile, after returning from the jungle in a bleeding condition, he was rushed to the Khedacherra Primary Health Center. Upon reaching the health center, the on-duty doctor admitted him and initiated treatment. The bear attack has created a panic atmosphere among locals, who frequently venture into the forests for firewood and forest produce collection.
