Because of CPIM, MLAs of Congress won election: Rajib

By TC News Desk

Agartala, 4th February 2024:  BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee claimed today that Congress MLA Gopal Chandra Roy won the election in Banamalipur Assembly Constituency with the help of CPIM and criticized him for not carrying out any development work in his constituency.

Welcoming 287 voters in Banamalipur Assembly Constituency, the BJP President stated, “Every day now across the state, people have started rejecting Congress, CPIM, and Tipra Motha and are joining BJP. I have been traveling to South and Gomati where a significant number of indigenous people have joined BJP. Today, in 9-Banamalipur Assembly, youths have decided to join BJP for the development of the country. I want to congratulate them for this right decision at the right time. I feel proud that when these youths came to me to join BJP, they didn’t ask what post they would get but only said that they want to work for BJP and the country. Tomorrow, senior leaders from Trinamool Congress are to join BJP, and many senior leaders have also contacted me and other BJP leaders to join BJP, asking about the posts they will get. BJP believes in commitment and is a party of karyakartas. In 2013, BJP had a 1.5 percent vote, and in 2018, we formed the government. I contested from Banamalipur and lost, but I will continue to work for the people of this assembly,” he said.

He mentioned that one Congress MLA from this assembly was elected with the help of CPIM.

“He doesn’t talk with people and sleeps during the Assembly session. He never works for the people. CPIM ruled for 25 years, and Congress has helped them. Using help from CPIM, he became the MLA of this assembly,” he said.
