Agartala, February 23, 2023: West Bengal’s opposition leader Suvendhu Adhikari on Friday claimed that he doesn’t feel the need to campaigning for sitting MLA of the 56-Dharmanagar assembly constituency Biswa Bandhu Sen because he was always stood beside the people of Dharmanagar sub-division at the time of their need.

Appearing at the election-campaign rally in support of MLA Sen in front of Dharmanagar Power House on Sunday afternoon, Opposition Leader of West Bengal Adhikari said that the one who was never seen during the COVID-19 pandemic, who was never seen standing by the people’s problems, has become the candidate of CPIM-Congress alliance. He is Chayan Bhattacharjee, the leader who changed his clothes. And the one who stood beside all during pandemic, the one who has got closer to the long-standing human problems is Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and MLA Biswa Bandhu Sen.

He created leadership and Pristha Pramukhs, etc. from booths to booths. So people will naturally vote for him. He said that the festival of democracy will be held on 16th and suggested that no one should base on single engine without double engine.

He said that the importance of five years of Bharatiya Janata Party government can be understood only if the 30-year rule of CPM in Tripura is evaluated with the rule of five-year Congress coalition government. During the long reign of Congress CPIM, the people of Tripura got nothing but Bengali-non-Bengali fight, community-community fight, Hindu-Muslim fight, jungle rule and Tripura Partition. Along with these, he suggested to evaluate the five years tenure of Bharatiya Janata Party. He said Tripura had only one national highway during the jungle reign. At present Tripura government and central government i.e. double engineer government are working together resulting in multiple national highways.
