Agartala, 16th July 2024: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominated candidates from various Gram Panchayats in the 18-Suryamaninagar assembly constituency submitted their nomination papers on Tuesday. The event was marked by a massive rally organized by BJP workers and supporters of the nominees with local MLA and Deputy Speaker Ramprasad Pal leading the procession. The rally covered various areas within the Suryamaninagar assembly constituency and concluded in front of the Dukli RD block.
MLA Ramprasad Pal accompanied the BJP nominees to the Returning Officer’s room, where they submitted their nomination papers individually. He emphasized that the state BJP had instructed all candidates to submit their papers by Tuesday.
Notably, in the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured the highest number of votes in the Suryamaninagar assembly constituency. Based on this trend, it is anticipated that the 148 BJP candidates contesting in various village panchayats of Suryamaninagar will emerge victorious in the upcoming panchayat elections.
