Agartala: August 07. CITU State president Manik Dey today accused the ruling BJP government for depriving the ASHA workers from all kinds of benefits.CITU state president Manik Dey said this while addressing the second state conference of Tripura Asha Workers Union at CITU state office today.

He said, “In the year 2018 the state has seen the formation of a government in the state that was supposed to do a lot for Asha workers. But no work has been done in four and a half years. This government has even hurt the self-esteem of Asha workers. During the four and a half years of the state, Asha workers have only suffered deprivation”.Manik Dey also criticized the government and said that after the formation of this government, the Asha workers who were sacked should form a united protest and take shelter of the law. Dey also expressed the opinion that the workers who lost their jobs will get their fair rights back.

“From the day this government was formed, people have no constitutional rights and dignity. From the mandal level leaders to the top level leaders, the behaviour has reached such a level that it seems as if the subjects are living under the zamindar. The BJP government has forgotten that India is a democratic country. People are not able to protest injustice”, he said.

He said since the day this government was established in the country, there has been looting all around. “There is no way for people to survive. So there is no other way but to build a movement against it”, Dey said.He alleged that because of this government, they are not able to enjoy all the rights that the countrymen were supposed to enjoy during the seventy-five years of independence. Other leaders of the organization were also present in the organized conference.
