Agartala, 28th January 2025: The ruling BJP is facing a significant challenge in the Kailashahar Dhaliakandi Panchayat as four of its members have submitted a no-confidence motion against the independent party’s Pradhan and Upa-Pradhan. This move has left the BJP deeply concerned about its hold on power in the panchayat.
According to reports, four BJP members of the 11-seat panchayat, which includes a total of seven BJP members submitted the no-confidence motion at the Zilla Parishad office today. The members alleged that the head and deputy head have failed to undertake any development work in Kailashahar.
One of the BJP members stated, “We have repeatedly called on the head and deputy head to explain why no development work has been done, but nothing has been addressed. This lack of action is unacceptable.” As a result, the four BJP members felt compelled to submit the no-confidence motion.
The situation has created a sense of urgency within the BJP, as they seek to address the concerns raised by their members and restore confidence in their leadership within the panchayat.
