The meeting, held at the Parliament House on Tuesday, was attended by Union Minister for Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal and BJP’s North East coordinator Sambit Patra. The six-member state delegation was led by BJP Tripura President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya, and included Industry and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, former MP Rebati Tripura, along with MLAs Rampada Jamatia and Sambhu Lal Chakma.

According to BJP insiders, the discussions focused on the overall development of Tripura, particularly the socio-economic uplift of the tribal population, alongside an assessment of the state’s current political situation.“Union Home Minister Amit Shah listened carefully to the representatives and assured them that the Centre would extend full support to maintain peace, ensure stability, and push forward the development agenda in Tripura,” a party source said.

With the TTAADC polls around the corner, leaders also deliberated on strengthening the BJP’s organizational hold in tribal regions, shaping campaign strategies, and finalizing the party’s long-term political course.
