BJP-IPFT coalition government continues attacks on opposition for last 5 years: Jitendra Chaudhury

Agartala, July 22, 2023: During the All India Lawyers’ Union biennial conference on Saturday in the West District, CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury stated that the BJP-IPFT coalition government’s aggression against the opposition remains unabated.

He criticized the ruling party for suppressing the voices of the people under the pretext of protecting their interests.

Addressing the conference organized by the CITU at the CPI(M) state headquarters, Jitendra Chowdhury expressed concerns about the independent institutions like CBI and ED being used as tools by the ruling party. He sharply criticized the government’s efforts to privatize health and education, stating that essential services should not be entrusted to private hands.

He further emphasized the significance of the Mid-Day Meal Project, highlighting its crucial role in shaping the future of children. Jitendra Chowdhury questioned the government’s decisions regarding this project and accused it of working against the welfare of the people.The conference saw the presence of other prominent leaders of the organization.
