Agartala, 25th September 2026 : The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has issued a show-cause notice to party member Barnali Goswami over her alleged involvement in an “unpleasant” incident in the Dharmanagar Mandal area.
In a notice dated September 25, 2026, the party said Goswami’s name had appeared in electronic media reports concerning an incident that allegedly created an undesirable atmosphere and brought the matter to the notice of the state leadership.
The notice, issued by BJP Tripura’s Rules and Discipline Committee, stated that the party would not tolerate provocative activities or actions against administrative discipline and peace.
The notice, signed by Samrendra Chandra Deb, asked Goswami to explain her position. It warned that appropriate action would be taken according to party rules if her response was not satisfactory.
