BJP names former CM Biplab Deb for Rajya Sabha bypoll

Agartala, 10^th September 2022 :  The BJP on Friday nominated former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb as the party’s candidate for the upcoming bypoll to the lone Rajya Sabha seat in the state.

The seat fell vacant after Dr Manik Saha resigned following his appointment as Chief Minister of Tripura. Notably, the announcement came hours after Deb was made Haryana state in-charge by the party.

By-election to the Rajya Sabha seat in Tripura will be held on September 22.
