Agartala, 23rd May 2024 :  Tripura Pradesh BJP president Rajib Bhattacharya today said that party is prepared for the upcoming panchayat-poll and informed that soon after Lok Sabha election results the party will hold meeting to set agendas.

Bhattacharya said, “The BJP has committees at all levels and karyakartas are prepared for the poll. Following this election, we will start our work soon after the declaration of the Lok Sabha results. I have conducted some meetings regarding the panchayat election. As many of our leaders are outside the state for the Lok Sabha, we will hold a meeting after the results to set our agenda for the panchayat.”

On CAA he said that the CAA clearly mentions that minority Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, and Christians who fled Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Pakistan due to persecution and came to India before December 30, 2014, will be provided citizenship under the CAA.

“I have seen that the opposition is spreading false information to confuse people regarding the CAA. The CAA clearly mentions that minority Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, and Christians from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Pakistan who faced persecution and fled to India before December 30, 2014, will be provided citizenship. It also states that it will not be imposed in ADC or Inner Line Permit areas,” said the BJP chief.
