Agartala, 20th November 2023: The BJP demonstrated its strength in Dharmanagar on Monday, when 68 families from the 56th Assembly Constituency joined the party in a public meeting. The meeting was held in front of Netaji’s statue in Dharmanagar and was attended by the local MLA and Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, who welcomed the new members and handed them the BJP flag.

Sen, who was the chief speaker of the meeting, thanked the people who voted for the BJP in the 2023 assembly elections and defeated the Congress-CPIM alliance. He said that the BJP had saved the people from the violence and oppression of the opposition parties, who had planned to attack and destroy the houses of the minority people after the elections. He said that the opposition parties had also cheated the people by promising them money, but failed to deliver.

Sen also claimed that he had won the election with the support of the people, who had not forgotten his benevolence and service. He said that he had helped the people of all parties and backgrounds, and had worked for the development of Dharmanagar and its interests. He said that he had changed his style of politics and had played the Italian style game to gain advantage. He appealed to the people to join any party, but not to hinder the development.

Sen also criticized the secularism of some Hindus, who had spread the false propaganda that the BJP was the party of Hindus only. He said that the BJP was the party of all and that it had worked and would continue to work for the overall development of the state and the country. He said that the BJP had given all the facilities to the minority people, but they had not voted for the BJP in some wards of Dharmanagar. He urged them to reconsider their decision and support the BJP.

Sen also expressed his dissatisfaction with the works department of Dharmanagar, which had failed to improve the roads in the area. He said that the roads were improving in different parts of the state, but not in Dharmanagar, due to some officials. He requested the officials to take care of the roads of Dharmanagar and provide better infrastructure to the people.

The meeting was also attended by the whole council chairman Pradyut De Sarkar, vice chairperson Manju Nath, Dharmanagar mandal president Shyamal Kanti Nath and North district BJP party president Bikash Sharma. They also addressed the gathering and praised the leadership of Sen and the achievements of the BJP. They also thanked the people who had joined the BJP and assured them of their support and cooperation.
