Agartala, July 9, 2023: Blood donation camps are the camps where blood is collected from suitable healthy donors for people of different blood groups who are in need of blood. Many organizations conduct regular blood donation camps. Many people/patients have conditions like thalassemia, cancer or other life-threatening diseases. Blood transfusions are often required during treatment of such diseases. Patients with the disease can save their lives if they receive the right type of blood.
Realizing this need, a Mega Blood Donation Camp was organized at the Shelter House in Sabrum under the initiative of Bikash Bharti Welfare Society on Sunday. Former Sabroom MLA and BJP South District President Sankar Roy, Sabroom Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Rama Poddar Dey, Vice-Chairperson Dipak Das, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dulal Datta, Health Department Officer Soumik Hazra, Society Secretary Mrinal Kanti Datta and prominent members Rajesh Roy Chowdhury and others were present in this mega blood donation camp.
Addressing the blood donation camp, former MLA Shankar Roy said that donating blood is a good deed. A noble act like donating blood is no more. A precious resource like a human life can be recovered through blood donation. He congratulated the blood donors present for coming forward for the noble cause.
At the beginning of the program Mrinal Kanti Datta, Secretary of the Society congratulated the guests and blood donors who came to the Mega Blood Donation Camp. 35 people volunteered to donate blood in this blood donation camp today.
A team of eight people, including a doctor, came from South Tripura District Hospital at Santirbazar to observe the entire process and collect blood. The humanitarian organization also arranged a rest room for those who felt dizzy or sick after donating blood.
After the blood donation, Rajesh Roy Chowdhury, a member of the organization, thanked and thanked everyone present at the camp. To complete this blood donation camp, the whole activity was concluded by expressing sincere thanks from the organization to all the members of the organization from Sabroom who made the whole activity successful by providing special cooperation to the whole.
