With the support of all office bearers and the then CM Deb, I succeed in providing leadership during the elections of ADC, urban local bodies and by-election in four assembly constituencies.”

“Following the footsteps of BJP national president JP Nadda, I had tried my best to work duing the COVID pandemic period. The entire Pradesh BJP karyakartas stood by the side of common masses. However, I was elected as the Chief Minister of Tripura. It was difficult for me to manage two responsibilities. Hence, now I am relieved from this post before completion of three years and handed over to Bhattacharjee”, he added.

I will extend by sincere gratefulness towards national president JP Nadda, former CM Biplab Kumar Deb, incumbent Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Prabhari Vinod Sonkar and union minister Pratima Bhoumik and all office bearers along with karyakartas of this party.”

He appealed to all karyakartas and people of Tripura not to congratulate him with floral bouquets from tomorrow onwards. “I am a common karyakarta like everyone else in the party. Barely few months left for the assembly election. Hence, our target should be the way we all had worked to bring the party in power in 2018, we have to make this happen again in 2023 assembly polls with more number of seats,” he added.Bhattacharjee said “I am being appointed as the state president of BJP just before the two-day visit of party’s national president JP Nadda in Tripura.
