Agartala, November 25: A blood donation camp was organized by a social organization in association with MBB Club on Saturday. The camp was attended by several dignitaries, including Sports Minister Tinku Roy, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, and Mayor Dipak Majumdar.
Minister Tinku Roy said that the youth of the state have to play a big role in making India a global leader in the world in the coming days. He also said that everyone needs to cooperate in order to get the youth out of addiction and create a healthy society. He praised the initiative of the social organization and the MBB Club for organizing the blood donation camp and saving lives.
Bhattacharjee said that it is everyone’s moral responsibility to keep the society healthy. He said that the aim of the government is to change the society for the better. He cited the examples of the recently concluded Durga Puja and Kali Puja, where a large gathering of people was observed and various puja mandaps were inaugurated after Mahalaya. He said that the clubs have come forward to help the last people in the society and that this is the sign of the change in society.
Mayor Majumdar also appreciated the efforts of the social organization and the MBB Club for conducting the blood donation camp. He said that blood donation is a noble deed and that the donors are the real heroes of the society.
The guests visited the blood donation camp and encouraged the blood donors. They also distributed certificates and refreshments to the donors. The camp was a success and received a good response from the people.
