Agartala, 28th February 2025:   A blood donation camp was organized this morning at the Udaipur KEC office premises to commemorate the birth anniversary of Ram Prasad Goenka (March 1, 1930 – April 14, 2013), the founder and Chairman Emeritus of the RPG Group, a multi-sector Indian industrial organization.

The event was organized with the assistance of the Indian Red Cross Society. Project Manager K.D. Sharma, H.S.C. Ravi Kumar, and representatives from the Red Cross Society, including Sukumar Das, were present at the camp.

A total of 30 donors participated in the blood donation camp. The demand for blood is steadily increasing at Gomati District Hospital, often leading to shortages. Donors believe that such blood donation camps will greatly benefit various critical patients in need.

A fire department official provided details of the accident, stating, “We received information this morning about a bike accident near the Bishalgarh SDM Office on Murabari Road. Both a pedestrian woman and the biker were seriously injured. Locals had already taken the injured woman to the hospital, and we transported the injured biker.”

The organizers and donors expressed optimism that the blood collected will save lives and alleviate the frequent blood shortages at the hospital. The blood donation camp was a fitting tribute to Ram Prasad Goenka’s legacy of community service and social welfare.
