BMS Dhalai District Committee celebrates 70th anniversary with campaign

Agartala, 19th December 2024:   The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Dhalai District Committee organized a program at the Ambassa Municipal Council on Thursday to mark the 70th anniversary of the organization. The event was part of a series of programs conducted to celebrate this milestone.

BMS workers conducted a 70th anniversary campaign at the Ambasa Municipal Council, where the newly appointed Chairperson of the Ambasa Municipal Council, Pratima Malakar, was given a reception by the BMS Dhalai District Committee. During the event, BMS leaders discussed various issues with the Chairperson and announced that a demand certificate would be handed over to her on December 23.

Narayan Debnath, Secretary of the BMS Dhalai District Committee stated that the programs are being conducted with the 70th anniversary in mind and will continue until December 20. “We have already started the labor relations campaign, and our program is ongoing continuously,” he said.

The leaders of the organization highlighted the difficulties faced by workers in the Ambassa area and expressed their intention to demand the Ambassa Municipal Council to resolve these problems. The event saw the presence of BMS Dhalai District Committee President Arijit Debbarma, Secretary Narayan Debnath, Joint Secretary Dipak Goswami, Former Secretary Bikash Das, and other leaders. The significant presence of BMS workers and supporters underscored the importance of the occasion.
