Agartala, 21st February 2025 : A major accident took place this afternoon on the Agartala-Udaipur road near Bishramganj Hospital when a Bolero loaded with sand overturned following a tire burst. The driver, identified as Uttam Debnath, suffered a concussion in the mishap.
According to reports, the Bolero bearing registration number TR01G1923 was traveling from Dewan Bazar to Melaghar when its front tire burst near Bishramganj Hospital, causing the vehicle to overturn on the road. The loud noise of the accident alarmed passersby and locals, who immediately rushed to the scene to rescue the injured driver.
The locals promptly transported Uttam Debnath to Bishramganj Primary Health Center for initial treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was later shifted to Melaghar Hospital for further medical attention.
Meanwhile, upon receiving news of the incident, workers from the Bishramganj unit of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh arrived at the hospital to assess the situation and provide assistance. Fortunately, no pedestrians were harmed in the accident, preventing a greater tragedy on the busy roadway.
